Why Teachers Need Firearms TrainingFront Sight Firearms Training Institute has for years been on the band wagon for getting teachers firearms training. In fact, for several years, Front Sight has practically been the bandwagon for getting teachers firearms training. The founder and director of Front Sight, Dr. Ignatius Piazza, founded Front Sight with the object of training Americans in safe, effective gun use. Dr. Piazza intends to make America a safer place. His opinion is that the only way to do that is to give all the law-abiding citizens firearms training that will enable them to handle gun-related situations and dangerous circumstances. And he thinks that the people who need this sort of gun training the absolute most are teachers. For years, especially immediately following Columbine, Dr. Piazza announced as often and loudly as he could that firearms training for teachers would be the only solution to school shootings. He feels that if teachers were trained with concealed carry training or at the very least just defensive handgun training, schools would be completely safe. The threat of someone on campus with a gun wouldn't exist, because armed, trained teachers would be ready to take out anyone who tried to draw on a classroom. Dr. Piazza is so adamant about safeguarding and protecting schools all across America, that he is willing to offer three free firearms training to any school in America, private or public. He is willing to train three teachers from all the schools in America for free, so long as the person is certified as a gun safety monitor by the school administration for that district. Dr. Piazza will deliver a world-class, defensive handgun training course to all teachers who desire it, so that all schools in America can be safer. As Dr. Piazza courses his way through the politics of the decision of getting firearms training to our teachers, the men, women and children of this country who are sick and tired of hearing about victims on the news must be heard in support of him.
