Teachers Need Self Defense Training Badly

Self defense training is something that teachers all over the world could benefit from. We'll take high school teachers as an example. It is not uncommon for a 140-pound woman to be teaching a classroom full of 220-pound football players. Why that doesn't frighten the daylights out of some of these teachers, no one may ever know. But self defense training is the answer to this. If that 140-pound woman truly is frightened, then she could get hand-to-hand self defense training that would allow her to remain in control of a situation if anything ever got out of hand.

Front Sight Firearms Training Institute, the nation's largest shooting school, encourages this sense of mind: it's not that you're always in danger, but if you ever are, do you know how to defend yourself? Self defense training is the obvious answer to the question of how to defend oneself in the case of an attack. But what if an individual is armed, as has happened at so many schools across this nation of ours? We have had shockingly numerous accounts of students opening fire in a classroom, destroying lives and futures. Why can't a teacher be given self defense training that would protect against that?

They can. Dr. Ignatius Piazza, the founder and director of Front Sight, the shooting school which delivers firearms training to more students annually than all other shooting schools in the nation combined, has decided that it is time for school shootings to end. As such, he is willing to foot the bill for any three teachers from any and all schools in the nation to receive world-class defensive handgun training, along with concealed carry training, the training necessary to be issued a Concealed Weapon Permit.

Dr. Piazza says that any teacher authorized by the leading school district official to receive concealed carry training will receive it at Front Sight for free. Dr. Piazza is certain that firearms training will lead the way to a safer America. He references similar occurrences in Israel, where the Israeli government – rather than enforce more strict gun laws, as the populace demanded – allowed trained teachers to carry firearms. School shootings stopped abruptly.

Firearms training is not scary. Defensive handgun training is not a ridiculous idea, Americans have to wake up and realize that Front Sight's concealed carry training and self defense training is the key to safe schools.
